in the past 36 hours i have gotten 2 hours of sleep. i'm about to sleep for 6 hours right now but that's not why i'm blogging, it's cause i got a story to share with you all!

so i IM alice about 5am and tell her i'm going to come over and visit. so i get to her apt at 530 but the door is locked, and i don't want to ring the doorbell because i don't want to disturb her roommates. but instead of calling her, i remembered that their apartment has a balcony...

so I climb onto the roof of their apt, and look down at their balcony. i put my backpack on my shoulders, and i hop off the top of the roof down to the balcony...

BOOOOM!

i land on my ass.

literally, i landed on my left ass. i didn't land on my feet because my backpack was too heavy and it threw me out of balance in midair.

and when i painfully hit the ground, my backpack came flying after, and hit me in the back of the neck.

i now have a sprained neck, and i cannot sit down comfortably anymore.

alice came outside to check what was happening and yep, she knew it had to be me. i'm the only one crazy enough to actually jump off the roof and land 12 feet below on solid concrete.

i'm thinking that, if i landed on my feet, i would have broken my ankles. so luckily i landed on my ass.

everyone tells me "you should have hung from the ledge to lower yourself a bit". they also say "you should have tossed your backpack down first". but the thing is, you have to understand that i had been awake for 18 hours at that point and had not slept since sunday 12pm.

i did take a 2 hour nap @ alice's apt after my extremely painful stunt, so in 36 hours i still did sleep 2 hours.

why did i jump off the roof? well i think it was because i wanted to impress alice by doing a james bond like stunt where i land on my feet silently and stroll into the apartment. it was going to look soooooooooo cool.

but now i'm here, sitting on a tilt, unable to turn my head to the left or right side. and i'm still sleepy. goodnight. ece 108 in 11 hours will be the death of us all.
