if I were to blog directly about the APSA talent show, it would be so long that you would just say "ugh" and close this blogger window right now. so i'm saving that for RANT, and i'll just talk about the post-talent show outings.
Everyone kept discussing things like "oh we should go this we should do that who wants to go here has anyone found my pants". Ronnel invited me to go get Boba with alinh & tricia. But first we needed coupons, which chris had on the ASP computer. there in the darkness terry was, which almost freaked us out cause it looked like a dead body. but since he was now awake and fully functional, chris printed out a whole mess of stuff and they met up with us @ Quickly.
ok i admit it, i had NEVER tried boba. i've had the jollibee "pearl coolers", which is like Boba, but it's Filipino, not Japanese. so similar to the de-virginizing of adam to carne asada fries, i had my first hit of almond iced tea boba.
oooooooooooooo man that felt soooooooooo good. i finished it in like 2 minutes. dude, at first i didn't know how to drink boba, so i was about to peel the lid off and put the straw in, and chris was like "aldrin stop!". i was like "uh what" and ronnel took my straw and stuck it through the label. i was like "oh that's what's up". yeah, the guys there were cool and they gave us like free upgrades on our boba. NOW i know what the big infatuation with this drink is. mmmmmmmmmm. i even got a second one, a mango slush. this one took me longer, like 4 minutes to finish.
after that we headed to roberto's, and lo and behold, MORE apsa people. i was like "wow cool". anyway we ordered our carne asada fries (for some reason tricia ordered Fries and Meat, with nothing else), and sat down next to everyone else. they were playing games over there so i watched.
the first one was the Counting game. this was a variation of what mr. borden showed us. actually, i can't explain this game online, i'll have to show you in person. it's where you hold up a certain amount of fingers, and you ask the person how many you are holding up. you could put up 6 fingers, but the answer might be 2 or 7. it's easier when you see it in person.
the second one was Around the World. Soemone starts and picks a place to travel, say some random country or whatever. Let's pick Amsterdam just because it's in Europe and it's easy. So the next person goes and picks a place to go. When the game is played in person, you understand it only when you KNOW where to go next.
after that we all got dropped off, tricia @ her car @ pc and ailinh and i @ brennan while ronnel went back home.
damn i'm tired. terry is watching the negotiatior in the living room. mmmmmmmm, carne asada fries.
