wanna get down baby, i do
Friday was pretty damn cool
9:00amish: i went to Campus to get some ECE homework done. i went to the APSA office to drop off Vic's book but it was locked. so on the way to the shuttle stop @ pc, i passed through the library lounge and saw Zaldy and his brother Zander playing YUGIOH!!! i've watched the cartoon for a while, but never seen anyone play the actual card game. ok, i expected way too much out of the show for the card game. i was like, so where are the monsters that pop up on the table? and how come you guys aren't talking shit to each other for 20 minutes before each move? oh well, it's still a cool card game. i never played it, but i've played a rip-off of magic before so i understand how card games work.
10:00am: shuttled back up to clics and met Emery and a whole bunch of other guys from our ece class. we teared through the first two problems, but we had to wait to discussion later to figure out the 3rd one. stupid electrostatics...
12:00pm: on the way back @ the shuttle stop we met Cristina from bridge, the one who was really good as a Mafia moderator. so we were talking to her, then she got off at the Marshall stop. i admitted to Emery that the reason i didn't introduce her to him @ the stop initially was because i forgot her name. so then we had a small argument about like if it was messed up or not to forget a girl's name that you haven't seen in a while. i wanted another opinion so i asked the girl (who happens to be hella cute) sitting behind me what she thought. anyway i asked her and soon the three of us were all talking. her name was Anne and i thought she was a third year but told me she was only a first year. i guess that's a compliment right?
1:00pm: left for home
3:30pm: came back home and since i finished the cd cover and layout for lisa's cd, all i had to do was burn the cd. so i made the tracklist and burned it, then left it alone for a while. i came back to verify the playlist, and noticed track 5 was missing. i was like, damn.
7:20pm: left for cheesecake factory for lisa's birthday, and ran into mad traffic on the 805. i was all late, how embarassing
7:50pm: got there finally, sat at the end with david jason janet (who came later) and richard and met a 4th Jeff now. finally, i now know some hardcore sports fans !!!!!!! sean & rob are the two baseball guys, jeff #4 is the basketball guy, and when you throw in david for the football guy, i can now finally freakin RELATE my oh-so-suppressed sports addictions. but the best part was when lisa liked the morning musume cd. it was cool to see her and everyone's reactions. you get that warm fuzzy feeling.
oh but if i had just not ordered the crappy artichokes. the menu said, "fried" and "brown" and "sauce" and "fresh" and all those cool sounding descriptions. however what i learned was that i was envisioning a pepper, not an artichoke. artichokes are black pieces of rubber. what a waste of $7. so i ordered Tiramisu cheesecake to balance it out.
ah and i got a lot of sleep today. whoohoo.
