have you ever seen a chick in the club with a drink in her cup booty shakin like hell yea
ooook what to update you all on?
midterms: ECE 102 was not a midterm but rather a quiz, so i felt like calling it a midterm since 101 and 109 were midterms. anyway time rolled around for our weekly quiz and while wandering around the S&E library i was lucky to find carl mak and manuel studying for the quiz. They invited me to sit down and study for the quiz with them, and it really helped cause i had the best quiz yet all quarter in 102. i actually recognized everything that they were asking, and i'm hoping i got at least 25. i know i messed up the thevenin equivalent circuit.
the ECE 101 midterm went well too. Thursday afternoon i went to office hours for steve our TA and then went with steph to the S&E library were we found Jay and studied some more. Friday morning we went to an emergency office hour session in the Physics 2CL lab room because we begged the TA to go over stuff with us one last second. manuel suri and other people were there too, but only a few of us cause we threw it together the last second and our TA hooked it up. The 101 midterm itself went pretty well, i'm confident on my answers for the first and third questions but i got lost on the second question. I calculated the coefficients incorrectly i think. oh well we'll see what happens.
studying: notice that from my other post a few days ago that i screwed up the 109 midterm. i am fully aware of the fact that i do extremely better whenever i study in a group. i learn more cause it gets explained in plain english, and as mak said "dude i'm learning more as i'm helping you haha". i think that was an insult so i'll kick his ass later, but at least we did good on the 102 quiz. and we studied like mad for the 101 quiz. it was jay who came by in the S&E library and said "hey i know how to calculate the period of the function". that's one of the reasons i like the science and engineering library, cause you're bound to run into one of your friends. and making friends in engineering classes is important cause there's no way you'll survive 4 or 5 years if you spend all your time studying alone. that's what i miss about living on campus, shoot as freshman we used to stay out till midnight teraing apart math 21c. sigh.
convoy: although i don't get to live on campus, being a commuter gives me a HELLA lot more opportunities to go around and explore central and northern san diego. Convoy street is one of the coolest streets above the 8 freeway, cause it's chock full of foreign restaurants and fast food. wednesday after the 102 quiz steph kent and i went to super sergios and then to go get boba by the store next to the korean video place, i think it was lollicup. it's the one with the black couches that are two feet off the ground. japanese korean mexican thai and numerous boba shops, and oh yeah the grand daddy of them on the nearby clairemont mesa boulevard: 99 Ranch Market. (p.s. southside san diego still rules)
fatal frame: i brought the game over friday night to steph's place where we all ordered pizza and watched kent sleep on the couch and record him making strange sounds as he slept. anyway i'm almost done with the game, i'm on Night 3: Calamity, and yes i'm more scared than ever. i've already talked about how i like playing scary video games cause it's a fun way to hang out with your friends so i'm not going to repeat myself (oh wait i just did, uh, pretend i didn't type it then, ok i should just type the closing parentheses about... now). afterward we "tried" to play SmackDown but it was chaotic cause none of us remembered the controls. oh well we'll try again another day.
saturday: after having the house to myself to run some errands, dre came down from uci and along with chien we did some computer shopping then went to On Cue billiards over in La Mesa. We ran through 11 games of cutthroat, dre taking 7 (84 sinks), chien taking 1 (57 sinks), and me taking 3 (54 sinks). I was on fire, winning 3 of the first 4 games, then soon I wasn't able to land any consecutive shots or any 3 ball runs. afterward we went to Sycuan casino and introduced chien to the sinful world of gambling. after the Oasis buffet (damn i want some more thai food from there) i took $20 to triple diamond dollar slots. and i lost it in 45 seconds. so i took $20 to a triple 7 quarter slot machine. and i lost all that. i then took $20 to triple diamond 2 coin quarter slots. anyway yeah i decided to stop before i began withdrawing ATM money. stupid single payline machines. dre was actually up on $5 but then despite us telling him to stop while he was ahead he bet it away. the second time around he actually got back his money to break even, then chien and i dragged him away to make sure it stayed that way. driving on the way home with his mom we were trying to look for the dehesa road memorial where we were going to drop chien off and abandon him show him what it looked like. it was too dark though.
im basketball: the season is finally over, we got a win in the last game. so what are my final stats for the season? take a look:
0 pts, 0 reb, 0 ast, 0 stl, 0 blk, 2 TO, 3 PF, 0-3 FG, 0-2 3PT, 0-2 FT
so when does football season start again? haha *shrug* i must have given victor heart attacks everytime i touched the ball on the offensive end
so yeah, that's the end of this blog. now i'm trying to watch csi, go away.
