Once upon a time in Kyla park
That was a good all star game. Jordan with the fadeaway jumper!!! But those were like some of the most exciting free throws i've ever seen in basketball. Kobe goes for 1 misses the second and hits the 3rd. But then there is no way the East can stop KG. How are you going to stop 20-10-5 from running up 37 points on you. But yeah good effort by McGrady Iverson and Jordan to take on Marbury Ming and Shaq.
Our APSA IM basketball game was almost as close, lol. It was 34-43 so we were within 9 but it was still a fun game anyway, which is the important thing. I actually took a shot!!! My 20 footer from beyond the arc drew iron and i stepped in the key on a layup attempt which drew iron, but neither went in. I also had my first turnover, because i really really wanted to drive on this guy but my crossover dribble was too slow and he poked it away. I came back and as he tried to drive on me i knocked the ball out from him but he got it back and passed it to a girl in the lane for an uncontested jumper. But the game was fun when KP came by at the end and cheered us on for like the final minute. So updated on my stats: 0-2 FG, 0-1 3PT, 0 reb, 0 assists, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 1 PF. What a sad tick line haha.
Now for all of you non basketball fans who just tried reading all of the above, just nod your head and agree with me. Yes, just like that. Nod and smile, nod and smile.
Friday night was fun also, i brought Fatal Frame and Michelle brought Silent Hill 2 over to Steph's apt, and i got so far in Fatal Frame that i'm going to be emotionally scarred for life whenever I am walking through the dark. Seriously, Fatal Frame is the scariest game ever. I have no idea why i continually subject myself to the scary video games, i guess it's the thrill i get out of it, plus it's a fun and unique way to hang out with your friends - by scaring the crap out of each other while you watch a ghost come out of a mirror and attack you.
So how's school going? Let's have another update:
ece 101 - this class is all about Steve and Helen, two of the better TAs in the ECE department. I am not getting anything from lecture, and the TAs are the only ones relating our material to the homework. But what if the midterm is based on lecture stuff? Our whole class is screwed then haha
ece 102 - yes, the prof told us that the quiz would be taken from the homework, and lo and behold our last quiz all came from the homework. I didn't give myself enough time to do the homework so I read lecture notes instead. It helped a bit but if I did the homework then i would have already known the questions before hand. Oh well, we have a lab interview coming again this thursday, and we have notes to work off of to help us understand the prelab. I mean who would have thought all we had to do was take the inverse laplace of -sRC and differentiate the input signal?
ece 109 - ok so our professor takes off one week of lecture to go on vacation in the Bahamas i believe (ok so i'm making that up but he really didn't lecture for a week), and then he gives us 9 days to do probably the longest homework assignment in the free world of probability and statistics? aaaaaa
at least the upcoming 3 day weekend will be hella fun. already trying to plan out stuff i can do, cause the week after next is a 101 midterm 102 quiz and 109 midterm all in four days. aaaaaaaaaa fjdklafjdkls;fjdkas;f
