- APSA Grad Banquet (June 1) picture gallery coming in a week
ok so yeah, we're going all the way back to grad banquet. anyway the morning of, i got dressed and headed over to the North Island navy base to see if I could take my car onto the base and park it next to the Island Club. i really wasn't into the idea of having to ask alice to come with me onto a shuttle and get onto the base. i mean what is this, Regents parking lot? so i showed up a few hours early and got the necessary military authorization to have my car brought through the lot. thank god Mikey was there getting his stuff checked out cause I felt awkward there standing in a suit. however i noticed that, wherever you go, if you're dressed really nice, you get treated soooo much better. i enjoyed how everything went smoothly and without problems when i was asking question about getting on base. they first thought I was attending a wedding of some other party, but i told them it was for APSA. so mental note, wherever you go, always try to look good :-)
so i go to pick up alice at her apt in warren, and when i get there 430ish and i see her i'm like... OOOOOOO! heh, i never seen her look so nice. but then again she says i'm always biased in my opinions of her. anyway after taking pictures with the help of michi, we drove over to Coronado and went to the banquet.
John was the first one to greet us around 630ish, but the problem was that when we got there, there was hardly anyone there. I mean like last year, there were all these undergrads already there and I put my camera up to them, but then like this time it was all alumni there first, and everyone else lagged. so i was dying for something to record. so it was kinda disappointing that i didn't have any good footage to use for a grad banquet video.
alice and i grabbed seats near the second row, of course behind this pillar but we could still see the middle, heh. our table was us two, then janet with benji, jeff, tri, and three other people, i forgot who my memory is shot today. anyway yeah the banquet was cool, congrats to all the seniors who graduated.
dance routine was kinda hard cause i only practiced like one day and i figured that i could just watch Kristhine in the front u know? when we were going through a run through, kristine said that she wasn't going to be in the front, then like all of us started panicking like aaaaa! but yeah she came out and i think we all did pretty good. kristhine taught us well. officer surprise was funny, but it was even better cause i understood every one of the inside jokes. senior surprise was a definite surprise because none of us had ever before seen what the seniors looked like as freshmen, and we were like whoaaaaaaaaa!!! big pat is medium pat!
i'm hoping alice had fun even though she knew like zero people there i think, i understand it's kinda intimidating to go somewhere if you know like absolutely nobody.
