that's the song that I was listening to driving up and coming back home.
so out of spontaneous combustion, jeff decided to go to the beach and invited me along while we were owning mah jong online late last night. after dropping off my check @ the ucsd post office, i got a ride up there and along with ryan and lauren, we met up at Torrey Pines State Reserve beach, which is about a 5 minute drive from UCSD.
so yeah i enjoy the beach cause it gets me darker and gets rid of the freakish contrast i have between my arms and my chest/legs. i look like two completely different people when i hold my arms to my legs O_O
jeff let me try out the boogie board, and wouldn't you know it, i actually successfully rode a wave for the first time since 8th grade. ok well i missed the first wave, caught the second, missed the third, caught the 4th and ate the 5th. afterward, we kept wading in the water until jeff said "get out!" and we saw these 3 black sharks. well i thought they were black dolphins, but he thinks they were sharks. we waited until a surfer went out there ahead of us, and he saw them, so we were like "ok so at least he sees them too". but the funny thing is that a few minutes later we couldn't find the surfer anymore, ahha. he was eaten i tell you! by black dolphinsharks!
i got to practicing for IM football by taking a football into the water and seeing if i could hold onto it with the waves crashing into me left and right. I did pretty good except for a fumble here and there, but i'm pretty confident on my ball handling and awareness.
after that i made a stop @ ralphs and went on home. went walking with my mom and then came back and showered and ate and watched Big Brother and now i'm here blogging to you all. i gotta go wake up at 8am tomorrow, so kcul8er!
p.s. alice comes back in 14 days, i.e. still forever X-(
