so yeah guess who I met this weekend. Rex Navarette and omg Karin Anna Cheung.

Saturday was sad then good because it was the last day alice would spend in san diego before leaving forever, so after dropping her off at the Airport shuttle was sad but alas she's gone for 22 days, meaning life will suck for about 3 weeks.

dre and i went to watch Rex Navarette, and it was pretty good. lots of straight up in your face humor, nothing to hold back. hey you, reading my blog, you seem tense. *starts rubbing your shoulders*

of course i'm tense!!!!!! >:-O

haha, inside jokes are funny especially when the other person has no idea what's so funny. anyway after the show i stood in a half hour line to get an autographed DVD of his concert.

Before i went to bed i noticed at like 330am on the news that Sadaam was caught. go army !

Sunday was cool cause i went to downtown san diego (all by myself and didn't get lost and crossed the streets without getting hit). on the way over there a lady crossed the intersection through a red light and i was behind two cars. the first car made it past while the crazy lady slammed her brakes to avoid it, but the second car couldn't brake in time and KAPOW she busted down the rear passenger side of the offending car. it was great. i was sitting there watching and honking my horn at the lady in the offending car for no real reason but to be mean. and she deserved it too, PAY ATTENTION TO RED LIGHTS, you deserve to have the rear of your car smashed to pieces. and to have aldrin honk his horn at you for 30 seconds. =D i'm so evil

anyway after my action packed driving moment there, i made my away around the mess and headed into the horton plaza parking structure then walked to Borders to the Better Luck Tomorrow autograph signing. after purchasing the $24 dvd (gah) i watched Justin Lin, Perry Shen, and omg you're so hot Karin Anna Cheung. she's so hot she has a picture next to a candle!!! they had a q&a, talking about stuff ranging from sacrifices to make the movie (10 credit cards and direction Justin selling his truck, and still not making enough to feed his cast), to the progress of Asians in mainstream cinema. the message to take from it is that on a daily basis we have to challenge our Asian stereotypes and show that we're a diverse people who don't fill the cookie cutter roles most people expect of us. we're NORMAL people, more than just your chinese food delivery people or your science nerds.

anyway after the Q&A i waited in line for what seemed like forever, luckily there were a bunch of apsa people at the event so it wasn't bad to be in line for an hour. i was afraid to shake karin's hand cause i didn't think i was like important enough to do that but perry shen offered his hand to me so i was like haha damn i'm shaking a movie star's hand for the first time in my life.

oh wait, i shook joy bisco's hand a year and a half ago.



lest we all remember, the all-time queen of the big screen is still Joy Bisco.
