one call away
i didn't use my digital camera this weekend @ APSA retreat, i only used my regular one. so i'll wait until soap distributes all the other retreat pics from other cameras
APSA Winter Quarter Retreat was at the 5 Queens Resort in Mira Mesa, and it was pretty cool. it was the first one i've stayed overnight in (probably because this is the first time i've asked ahead of time if it's ok to do so). quick breakdown:
- workshops: once you go CI, you never go back. indeed so true, we all have some sort of attachment to everything we learned in Bridge and ethnic studies classes (although i totally blew the vincent chin question, embarassing myself). the riddle one was fun, and the leadership one was also fun because we got to plan out our own APSA events (our group made a Spoken Word Idol open mic competition @ the Cross)
- icebreakers: the lunch bag idea was great, i'm about to open my lunch bag to see if i got any notes (to make sure my bag wasn't empty, i made notes to myself and dropped them in my bag). i found out that i kept on needing to add more bag notes because i always found a reason to thank someone or tell someone something.
- food: everyone loves carne asada fries, and it's nice to see that they're appreciated =) they had some bomb ass burrito fixings available and i was first in line (i was checking on the fries to see if i got the 3.75 trays worth, and tiffany was like "oh you can eat now"). so i ate my burrito quickly and got back in line to make another one >=)
- ps2: i broke my ps2 when i left it unattended in the cross and it got knocked down horziontally in an upside down position. andy and allan really helped me out in getting the ps2 fixed and working again so we could play NFL street. I OWNED VIC in a pickup game haha. amazing richard c. beat the Battle of Yi Ling for me in Dynasty Warriors 4 (only took him 2 hours or so). and i showed edsel Fatal Frame 2 and we both screamed when we saw a woman staring at us from a door left ajar.
theres a lot more but yeah, i'm tired. i only slept 30 minutes that night, and it made me fall asleep during the first half of the Super Bowl. no matter, i made it in time to watch the halftime show and the entire thrilling 2nd half.
OMG panthers almost had it.
panthers > you
