Our family pet cockatiel Chucky has been in our family for 24 years, and has passed away early this morning.
I think it was a benign tumor that he was battling for about a year, and that combined with old age signaled that it was his time to go. I wish i could have paid more attention to him, i don't even have any pictures of him to show you all. all i could find on the internet was this picture of another white male Lutino Tiel, which is the same breed Chucky was:

at least he's flying around in heaven with his female companion Chuckia, who had left us 10 years ago. they're together now and they're happy. all is well for him and that's what's important.
To any of you out there, if you have a family pet that's been with you for a while, just make sure that you take the time to at least say hi to it and take good care of it. 22 years is a long time but you don't realize just how long it is until it's gone.
