i'm back and with lots of stuff.
the biggest thing you should have noticed is that there is an APSA Talent Show 2003 photo gallery at the top. So go view that when you have the time, 31 pics, all digital thanks to alice and her nifty little digital camera she let me play with for the entire day. anyway let's get to some updates:
apsa talent show - oh yeah, it was off the hook. after spending a few hours in the printing shop with Chris over in Copy Club @ Mira Mesa (shameless plug) we finally got our program to appear the way we wanted and Soap and I were officially DONE with programming. i went home to get some sleep but soap stayed to go staple the programs himself using this awesome folding and stapling machine that Chris showed us. anyway i came in at about 1pm to the PC ballroom and for a few hours practiced the dance routine for Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera's salsa song so that we could get it right. of course ed and i were like "viiiiiiiiiic" every few mintues but it was alright because we were able to look at justin's TRL performance on my laptop. after a little while we were damn good at Cry me a River. haha, ok so we're not exactly as good as the real thing, but what we lack in talent we make up for in sexily good looks.
the show itself was good. the only bad thing was TECH. oh god it sounded horrible. we couldn't hear performers on their mics and such. but at least all the performers worked through it. media and video was hard because of some strange camera operations and i'm hoping it didn't pickup conversations that the cameramen had because we forgot that it would pick up our "hey zoom this" and "pick the cord up" and other weird things that would mess up the video. OH WELL haha, it's all in good fun. the dance afterward was great too. alice was there with me the whole night to support me on stage and afterward to help me take pics and i'm very grateful for that.
apsa alumni/undergrad sports day - every year the apsa alumni come back and play soccer basketball and football with the undergrads in some friendly competition. i missed soccer but i heard the undergrads won in a shootout after a 1-1 tie in regulation. we won both games in basketball and i played in our 0-0 tie for football. it was fun being on the defensive line. ok well i kept getting pushed backward by huge offensive lineman alumni. but fun nonetheless. go undergrads.
end of ece 101 - turned in the last homework of the quarter on wednesday, after our TAs carried us on their shoulders and piggy backed us across the finish line. if we pass this class they will be the sole reason for our success. good job helen and steve, you guys r0x0rz.
end of ece 102 - OH THE HUMANITY!!!! kent and jose did a great job on the lab, but when it came my turn to present one section of the lab, I GOT TORCHED. our grading TA jaspreet just kept blinking at me while i tried to babble about time delay and such. and when steph came up, all the work i had set up for her was totally incorrect also. i'm going to go ahead and accept that i blew this fourth and final lab for our team. anyway after i angrily broke my ece 102 book in half (ok well i tried but was unsuccessful, all i did was bend the back cover of the 1200 page book), we all went out to Black Angus and the four of us plus sagrario took out our sadness on steaks and lobsters. at least our quiz grades are good, now it's time for the final.
end of ece 109 - i so hate this class, it's not even real engineering. as kent says, it's an overhyped math class. i mean, we're learning about probability and stastics? can't you apply this to some sort of circuit for us please? no? well the reason you can't is because it's just another annoying math class! what sucks is that these midterms are nearly impossible to study for, you basically have nothing to go on (no old exams available) except reading the book.
that's basically it for now, i'm tired and want to go eat then sleep, kcul8er all.
