- Finals Week
So everyone knows i jumped off alice's roof and landed on my ass when i hit her concrete balcony 12 feet below. but here i'm going to blog about how the actual tests went, and how the overall quarter was. i already received my final grades so you get to see them too.
ECE 108: C+
It was time for the entire class to face their fears. literally, we were all afraid of the 108 final after half the class failed the midterm. and yes, Coles brought it. he brought it hard, but at least we were better prepared for it. this time around we went through the past midterm and all the provided problem sets and the last midterm. my final score was 35/140, but apparently this was average and combine that with average lab scores (by the way, i think my invisible lab partner still took the final) and i come out 33rd for 80 students in the class and i finish with a C+. oh yeah, remember how i explained the $1000 test? well, i PASSED it, so OOOH YEAH i can graduate in 4 if i want! WHOOHOO I AM SUPER COOL h000tah!!!
ECE 120: "no friggin comment"
ok, i tried studying for this but fell asleep. so my plan was to be like, ok i'll study for it early wednesday morning so i could be ready for it by 3pm. but NOOOOO i overslept and woke up at 12pm, so i only had like an hour to study. and of course i bomb the final, and yeah that leads to the "no friggin comment" as a final grade. the 36 hours awake really helped me on ece 108, but it really screwed me over for ece 120. so i think it was worth it just because 108 is really hard. but yeah i'll have to retake this class next spring which ruins my plans.
ECON 1A: A-
Haha, trying to get rest for this final, i kept napping and snoozing until it was finally 4am and i had to go. i went to go park on the very top of the structure in a nice spot, and walked my away over to clics. my hair was in full fro effect and i hunkered down in a computer cubicle and began reading over the questions i missed on the practice final. kent and steph finally dragged themselves over, and sleepily we made our way through the entire practice exam. kent hooked us up with chocolate covered espresso beans, which were awful but were succeeding in keeping us awake. i kept dozing off during the final and then finally i was like ok, just power my way through the free response and finish up. apparently i did well.
MATH 187: A+
oooooh yeah who wants some??? i own you, math 187. the problem however was that when i drove back to get my stuff thursday morning, i fell asleep on the road while driving back up to school around 2pm. it started with hallucinations, where i'm looking at the cars and wonder why they're all coasting backwards. i'm like how come the trunks of the cars are moving forward? they're driving backwards. then i see this yellow bus to the side, and i stare at it, and i'm slowly drifting towards it about to crash, and the dividers in the road save me. and while almost at school, the road was curving, and i was like ooooh the road curves, then i realized i should be turning the wheel along WITH it. so yeah i almost crossed into oncoming traffic. BUT I MADE IT ALIVE! i made it to school alive! yes!
anyway i went to go study for this on friday afternoon with gina and lucie and everyone else in the class whose names i had already forgot. i was set on the fact i was not going to get the DES encryption problem, but all of a sudden during the test i had this "vision" and like i looked through the notes and found how to do the problem on the exam. haha. i only missed one on the exam i think, and i'm hoping i finished first in the class. i really hope i did, because it will validate me screwing up ece 120 :-(
