oh yeah i forgot to say what i did wednesday and thursday, X-D

wednesday

so embarassing story to all of those who've ever applied for a job:

i went to meet my AIP counselor so she could help me look for an internship. After spending some time online and watching TV when i woke up, and after parking really far away, i arrived to my 10am appointment about 10 minutes late. When i walked in she said "i thought you weren't coming so i started working on stuff for another student".

so she was reasonably disappointed, so she said "take out your resume and relevant coursework". i'm like, "relevant coursework?" she says, "you know the packet we gave you last week? it has instructions on how to do a relevant coursework sheet. Did you read it?"

i said "um, no"

she told me "usually when we give you something, we do it for a reason".

even MORE annoyed at me, she looked at my resume and saw it wasn't even in a nice enough format for internship people to look at. so then she decided that we need to reschedule for Monday, so the appointment ended early and she went to work on stuff for more responsible and dependable students.

embarassed and humiliated, i went to my car and started calling up people to talk to. Nobody answered, so then i called up Gina and fortunately she was there and she and Ji kept telling me it's ok that i messed up my AIP interview and i should just make the most of my next meeting. I then started driving thinking that there was nothing to do except maybe go walk around UTC, but along the way i saw Jeane riding her bike. I yelled to her to say hello, and she told me Steph was still home. so i called her up and asked if i could go hang out, and she said sure. she gave me back the books and cds she borrowed, and along with stephanie and eri, we went to Todai for lunch.

now Todai is open for lunch until 2:30pm, and at that time they close the buffet. so when we got there at 2:15, we had 15 minutes until the food would be removed from the buffets. we asked the maitre'd if that meant we had 15 minutes left to eat. she said certainly not, you can eat as long as necessary. so we hatch a plan:

we'll just take a LOT of food, and shuttle it back to the table for the next 10 minutes, and sit down to eat once the buffet closes.

so after 10 minutes, four of got 24 plates of food!!! i stocked up on rice, fried noodles, sweet and sour pork, terriyaki beef, and california and spicy tuna rolls. stephanie got almost all the caesar salad and green beans, steph got a huge dessert tray, and eri got the other noodles too. so when we started eating, it dawned on us:

3 girls and a guy will NOT finish 24 plates of food. and sushi fills you up because of the rice, so we were like, "we're screwed".

so after an hour and a half of slowly eating, and after watching Eri get up and make laps around the restaurant for exercise, we threw in the towel as we could only manage to take about 12 plates down. the waitress was very nice about it though, she said that it's ok because all the food gets thrown out anyway. but we left a big tip @ the end though. i must say, it was $12 well spent to eat until it hurt and have a hilarious story to tell also.

afterward we all took naps at steph's place (well they all got couches they made me sleep on the floor) and steph and stephanie went to the beach while jeane and i watched South Park on her computer, then eri and i went home around the same time.

Thursday

i woke up at what, 1130am, then go to Walmart and have my oil changed. I never been to the tire & lube express center myself, so when i went to get in line, i was actually in the wrong line, so i had to make a u turn and get into the RIGHT line to get my oil changed.

during that time i went browsing around Walmart then to Best Buy. i drooled at the PS2 games i wanted, then drooled at the speakers i so desperately wanted for my car. i want two rear speakers, 5.25 or 6.25 cause i'm not sure what the baskets will hold, although i'm guessing it's 5.25 speakers. i was fiddling with the stuff and accidnetally turned on the amplifier and the whole store started shaking from the car audio, hahaha.

outside the store i dontated $1 to a guy selling candy for $4 for chula vista little league. it made me feel good to be charitable on 9/11.

so then i went to get my haircut at Hoa's barber shop, and now it's all short and nice and picture friendly.
